A Medford man out on bond is back in jail after leading Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Deputies on a brief chase on Sunday.
A deputy observed a traffic violation on Military Road in the City of Fond du Lac’s near west side shortly after 4 yesterday afternoon and attempted a traffic stop, prompting the driver to accelerate. However, after leading the officer for a half mile he turned down a dead-end road, ending the pursuit.
The 29-year-old Medford man, the only occupant, was out on bond on Taylor County charges of disorderly conduct and endangering safety – use of a dangerous weapon, both with domestic abuse enhancers. He is now in the Fond du Lac County Jail, charged with felony fleeing and eluding and misdemeanor bail jumping. He was also charged with operating without a valid license, failure to stop at a stop sign, possession of open intoxicants, and 1st Offense OWI.
