Business ideas don’t become businesses without a second step – the startup. The Sheboygan County Economic Development Corporation is making Step Two a lively pursuit with the 2026 return of its Startup World Cup Regional Pitch Competition to the Weill Center for the Performing Arts on Monday, October 19th. The event will be an amalgam of entrepreneurs, investors, business leaders, and community members, gathering for an evening focused on innovation, entrepreneurship, and startup growth.
The event is part of a global effort by Pegasus Tech Ventures. The Startup World Cup features more than 100 regional competitions across six continents, connecting emerging startups with investors and global exposure. Winners from regional events advance to the Grand Finale in San Francisco to compete for a $1 million investment prize.
The Sheboygan regional competition will award a $2,000 Judge’s Choice Prize and a $1,000 People’s Choice Prize that’s selected through audience voting. The Sheboygan regional winner will also be eligible to pitch at the Startup World cup Grand Finale in San Francisco.
Applications for startup founders and pitchers are now open, and can be accessed through this link.
