The National Weather Service will be keeping a wary eye on possible thunderstorms, with scattered daytime activity transitioning to more organized and possibly severe weather overnight into tomorrow morning.

NWS Graphic
A few rounds this morning through mid-afternoon could contain isolated gusty winds and lightning with a lesser threat of hail this afternoon. After a lull late this afternoon and evening, the overnight storms pose the larger threat of large hail and an isolated tornado, while training storms late tonight and Friday morning could cause locally heavy rain totals between 1 and 2 inches.

While the NWS is confident that activity will occur, exactly when, where, and how strong remains unclear, and later forecasts should be monitored.
