While work on I-43 in Sheboygan County is progressing, there’s still much to be done, especially related to northbound traffic where the collector distributor bridge has been closed for the past two weeks. Work there is expected to continue through September 25th, while the southbound collector system was scheduled to be completed by this week.
Tonight there will be ramp closures between 8 PM and 6 AM for shouldering operations affecting the southbound off-ramp to westbound 23 as well as the on-ramp from 23 eastbound to I-43 south. As for the main travel lanes of the interstate, there will be various nightly lane closures Sundays through Fridays.
Drivers will also encounter various lane closures on Highway 23 either side of the interstate between Highway Y and Taylor Drive where signage directs lane changes, and the Highway 28 reconstruction continues with various flag crews. Caution is advised in all work zones for the safety of drivers and workers alike.
