Lakeland University is welcoming two new faculty members to its classrooms this fall:
Assistant Professor of Communication, Diane Deyoe comes to Lakeland from Purdue University where she is a doctoral candidate and expects to defend her dissertation this summer. She has taught several communication courses as well as regular and honors sections of standardized speech and writing courses at Purdue.
Assistant professor of computer science, Dr. Tanzil Shahria comes to Lakeland from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee where he recently completed a doctorate in computer science. Dr Shahria specializes in artificial intelligence, deep learning and human-centered robotics, with a strong focus on healthcare applications.
