Another Sheboygan Alderperson is stepping down. Alder Trey Mitchell has announced his intent to resign his post effective on November 17th. Mitchell will make that move official at tonight’s meeting of the Sheboygan Common Council.
Mitchell’s resignation comes as another Alder is to be elected tonight. Seven persons have submitted their names to fill the remainder of the term in District 7 previously held by Grazia Perrella who resigned last month. She stepped down due to a move outside of her district. A reason for Mitchell’s resignation was not immediately announced.
Also on tonight’s agenda is the City of Sheboygan Comprehensive Plan, known as “Vision 2046”. The resolution tonight concerns sending that plan through the final approval steps, which includes a public hearing before the Common Council during the December 7th meeting. After that hearing the plan outlining the model for future growth, development, housing, infrastructure, and preservation through the year 2046 will likely become official.
