Two Rivers Police
Two people are facing first-degree intentional homicide charges in the death of a teenager. Two Rivers police say 26-year-old Dominic Pilgreen and 15-year-old Nathan Reichard have been formally charged in the death of 16-year-old Payton Vertz. Reichard is being charged as an adult. Both defendants face five felony counts, including hiding a corpse, false imprisonment, and theft.
Police said Vertz’s body was found in the water near Seagull Marina on the south side of the Two Rivers harbor Friday evening, October 16th. Two Rivers police and fire crews recovered the body, which was then turned over to the Manitowoc County Coroner’s Office.
