Crews working on I-43 will require full overnight closures of the Highway 23 interchange ramps this week as progress continues toward a November completion. All collector and distributor ramps will be closed between 8 PM and 6 AM Tuesday through Wednesday. Additional closures include the northbound I-43 on-ramp to westbound Highway 23 between 8 PM Monday until 6 AM Tuesday, and the eastbound Highway 23 off-ramp to Taylor Drive from 8 PM Friday until 4 AM Saturday.
Overnight lane closures are also planned for Highway 23 this week. Those include westbound lanes between Taylor Drive and I-43 on Monday night, and the eastbound lanes between County Highway Y and I-43 on Thursday night. Hours for both are 9PM until 2 AM.
Pavement marking operations will take place on the northbound lanes of I-43 between highways 28 and 42 this week Monday to Thursday between 8 AM and 3 PM daily; stay alert for various lane closures. Also, sign structures on both directions of Highway 23 between County Highway Y and Taylor Drive will be installed Monday to Friday overnights between 6 PM and 6 AM, again with various lane closures requiring attention.
