A 10-working-day closure of the Highway 32 & 28 roundabout at Sheboygan Falls is in effect today while workers upgrade that intersection as part of the rebuild of 28 between I-43 and Highway 57. Highway 28 traffic will use Highway 57, County Road V and I-43, while Highway 32 traffic will be detoured onto Highway 23, I-43 and County Road V. Flag crews will control the flow for those requiring local access to Highway 28 and motorists should expect intermittent delays along those segments.
After nearly five weeks of work, the I-43 northbound collector and distributor ramp system at Highway 23 is scheduled to open this Thursday, while work on the interstate travel lanes will require some ramp and lane closures this week. Today the southbound I-43 on-ramp from Highway 28 will be closed between 6 AM and noon, as will the southbound I-43 on-ramp from County Highway V. The northbound I-43 on-ramp from Highway 28 will be closed on Tuesday from noon until 6 PM. As work continues on expansion joint replacement the Highway PP overpass will continue using temporary traffic lights to control the single lane of travel there. Finally, both the north and southbound lanes of I-43 will be limited to a single lane today through Thursday between Wilson Lima Road and Highway 28.
