The Manitowoc Public School District is reviewing its safety and communication procedures following last week’s lockdown at Wilson Intermediate School.
The September 11th lockdown began after a report of a student with a weapon, but police found no weapon and determined there was no valid threat.
Superintendent Lee Thennes says the district will meet with law enforcement to refine its response and communication practices. Counselors also remain available for students who need support.
