Road Work
Work to reconstruct I-43 between Wilson Lima Road and Highway 42 continues this week with right-of-way fence replacement, median grading, and milling and paving of the travel surfaces.
Short-term closures weren’t pinpointed, but will occur in various locations Monday through Friday this week, and drivers are urged to be alert for traffic control and signage.
Width restrictions of 14-feet are in place on all bridges over Wisconsin Highway 23 until July 1st for rehab of the structure, while restrictions of 17-feet affect southbound traffic over the Pigeon River.
In addition, Wisconsin DOT crews will be painting bridge girders on both lanes of travel of I-43 at County Highway MM daily Monday through Thursday, and a continuous lane closure will be used during repair.
