The Milwaukee Bucks are open for business on trade calls and offers for two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo entering the NBA combine and over six weeks away from the draft, sources told ESPN.

Live look at me seeing the 7,000th tweet from Shams about Giannis since 2017:

HERE WE GO AGAIN! Shams dropping an article with zero new information in order to get eyes on social media and set up topics on ESPN for the rest of the day. Same playbook from last summer, and the summer before that, and the summer before that, and the summer….
You know what the worst part about a potential Giannis trade is? Not even losing a once-in-a-lifetime, HOF player. Not losing the most loyal guy in Bucks history. Not losing the greatest Buck of all time. It’s that Shams and ESPN are going to throw a victory parade acting like they “called it.” You don’t get to report the same story for decade and then when it finally happens say, “See! Told you so!” It would be like if Shams claimed he were a mind reader:
Shams: I can read your mind, think of a number between 1 and 10.
Really good looking internet blogger: Okay, go.
Shams: 7?
Really good looking internet blogger: No.
Shams: 4?
Really good looking internet blogger: No.
Shams: 9?
Really good looking internet blogger: Nope.
Shams: 6?
Really good looking internet blogger: Yup! Just kidding, nope.
Shams: 2?
Really good looking internet blogger: Negative.
Shams: 1?
Really good looking internet blogger: Sigh….try again.
Shams: 3?
Really good looking internet blogger: Yes.
Shams: Told you I was a mind reader!
I can’t live in that world, man. I feel like John Hammond in Jurassic Park:

Now in terms of the actual story, does it feel like there’s a little more meat on the bone than the usual rumors? Sure. But Jimmy Haslam said as much at the Taylor Jenkins press conference last week. They’re going to listen to offers. They’d be stupid not to. In the same article is also states that, “both paths are still open.” Meaning: Yes we’re listening to offers, but there’s also a path where we build around Giannis again and he signs the Super Max.
I’m on record as team #keepgiannis. I understand they could get a lot of assets for him in a trade, but I think people forget what life was like without a superstar on this roster. Irrelevance is the best way to describe it. I get that Giannis is getting older, the injuries are adding up, and it just plain hasn’t worked out the last three seasons, despite them trying to rework the roster a few different times. But I want Giannis here until the day he retires. He’s my favorite athlete that has ever worn the jersey of one of my favorite teams. If he stays and we don’t win a title in the next 5-6 years, so be it. I’ve got news for you: We ain’t winning one in that time frame anyway.
PS: If this is it, I plan on watching this on a loop and softly crying for at least 2-3 days (weeks)(months).
It was one hell of a run. pic.twitter.com/j2SNeAs9gt
