Five people were hospitalized on Friday after a wrong-way vehicle collided with multiple others on I-41 near Neenah. Calls to the Winnebago County Sheriff alerted responders to a full-size pickup truck traveling southbound in the northbound lanes in the city of Neenah where deputies attempted a stop. Instead, the pickup did a u-turn to go north in the southbound lanes where it collided with four additional vehicles causing significant damage to all.
Five patients were transported to local hospitals via gound and air transport. The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the investigation and charges haven’t yet been announced.
