Work to resurface I-43 around the City of Sheboygan and Highway 23 will pose several challenges to area motorists next week. The Wisconsin Department of Transportation said that ramp paving operations will necessitate closures requiring advanced planning to get around smoothly.
On Monday, the northbound I-43 off ramp to Highway 28 will be fully closed from 4 AM until 8 PM for paving operations. Should weather interfere, Wednesday, May 6th will be used.
On Tuesday, May 5th, the northbound I-43 off ramp to Highway 42 will be completely closed between 4 AM and 8 PM for paving. A weather date was not clearly identified.
Also on Tuesday, the southbound I-43 on ramp from Highway 42 will be closed for paving between 4 AM and 8 PM, with a rain date of Wednesday, May 6th.
On Thursday, May 7th, the southbound I-43 off ramp at Highway 28 is scheduled for paving, and will have a full closure from 4 AM until 8 PM. The rain date in this case is Friday, May 8th.
