The Wisconsin Lottery reports that a $50 scratch ticket has paid out one million dollars. The scratch game is the $1,000,000 Crossword, and the winning ticket was claimed at the Madison Lottery office on Thursday by Jermie Nelson, who purchased his ticket at Loves Travel Stop on South Business Drive. That’s the biggest winning ticket ever sold at Love’s, which receives $20,000 in retailer incentives.
The game debuted in December, and since then two players have won $5,000, one has won $10,000, and another won $50,000. Nelson is the game’s first million dollar winner, and one more of the top prizes still remains to be awarded from the Crossword game.
