(LEARFIELD/PACKERS) – A 23-10 win over the Lions by the Minnesota Vikings means the Packers are in the playoffs.
Saturday’s game between Green Bay and Baltimore still has postseason implications for the Ravens.
The Packers still have an outside shot at winning the NFC North, but they have to win out, and the Bears would have to lose twice.
Both of Green Bay’s quarterbacks – Jordan Love and Malik Willis – are listed as questionable for Saturday’s game against Baltimore.
Baltimore may start backup quarterback: The Ravens may not have their quarterback this weekend.
Baltimore listed Lamar Jackson as doubtful for Saturday’s road matchup with the Green Bay Packers.
Tyler Huntley would start for the Ravens if Jackson can’t play.
Huntley completed nine of 10 passes for 65 yards in relief of Jackson in last week’s loss to the New England Patriots.
Pass rush boost: The return of two injured players could help the Packers’ pass rush.
It disappeared when Micah Parson was sidelined with a knee injury.
Brenton Cox Junior showed great promise late in the his rookie 2024 NFL season. He had seven quarterback hits and four sacks in the final seven games.
It isn’t clear what rookie Collin Oliver has to offer, but it’s promising that some in the lockerroom have been called him “Baby Micah,” comparing him to Parsons.
If that’s even partially true he can be a big help – just when it’s needed most.
Josh Jacobs’ knee: Packers running back Josh Jacobs has been bothered by a banged up knee for a few weeks now. He was asked if the loss of range of motion in his knee/leg his only issue.
Jacobs said that it’s tough to catch a break with the knee.
Odds and ends: Thisis the latest visit to Green Bay for the Ravens in
their franchise history.
The Packers hold a 5-2 advantage in the series with wins in three of the last four.
Green Bay is 3-1 at home against the Ravens.
Two of the last three contests have been decided by two points or less and both were won by the Packers.
It will be the fourth December meeting between the two franchises, with Green Bay winning two of the previous three.
Back-to-back Saturday games for Green Bay in Weeks 16-17 marks the first time the Packers have played on back-to-back Saturdays since 1963 (Dec. 7-14).
It is the first time since 2020 that the Packers are not finishing the season with back-to-back division contests and the first time since 2021 that Green Bay will finish the regular season on the road. The Packers and Vikings finish the regular season against each other for
the first time since 2015 and in Minnesota for the first time since 2012.
