A dog is wagging its tail at its home near the Village of Cleveland today thanks to rescue crews from Manitowoc County over the weekend.
It was Saturday around 6:30 PM that several good Samaritans walking on the Point Creek Park beach, north of Cleveland, came across a dog there that couldn’t walk and appeared injured. They called Manitowoc County Dispatch, who sent crews from the Cleveland Fire Department and the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, who utilized a stokes basket to haul the dog up the steep Lake Michigan bluff.
The owners were identified, contacted, and reunited with their dog, who is now recovering at home.
