Recovery from the less-than-severe snowfall of Wednesday has been swift, and the City of Sheboygan announced cancellation of its Snow Emergency effective at 3 p.m. on Thursday. The announcement said that the emergency was initiated at 6 a.m. in order to facilitate efficient snow removal operations by the DPW and to ensure public safety, and expressed appreciation for the public’s cooperation in following the new Snow Emergency Guidelines that were passed on November 4th. The City said that such compliance was instrumental in ensuring safer and more accessible roadways, allowing crews to effectively clear snow and mitigate hazardous conditions.
With the expiration of the Snow Emergency at 3 p.m., the DPW said that residents should resume the usual parking rules at that time.
