MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers fell to the Rays 1-0 in their series opener from American Family Field on Monday night.
The Crew had a chance to tie the game with the bases loaded in the ninth, but Blake Perkins struck out to end the game.
Bryse Wilson got saddled with the loss after giving up the lone run through six innings as the Brew Crew dropped to second in the NL Central at 17-11.
Ryan Pepiot pitched six innings for the Rays, allowing no runs, two hits and struck out seven. The Rays are 14-16.
Game two of the three game series is set for Tuesday night with pregame coverage on WHBL beginning at 6:05.
