WELCOME TO THE FUTURE! Sure, we don’t have hoverboards*, we don’t have flying cars, we don’t have food hydrators, but this is a step in the right direction.
A Taco Bell drive-thru bank! You order online, you find an open lane, and have your food sent to you like like one of those containers at a drive thru bank that holds old pens and sucker remnants. Fast, convenient, and you don’t have to deal with a pesky human interaction.
Taco Bell is hoping that this will get you your order in 2 minutes or less, which is also welcome news. Lindsey and I probably indulge in Taco Bell once a month, and let me tell you, those wait times are getting egregious. I don’t know if it’s lack of good help at those stores, supply chain issues, or the fact that more people are eating at Taco Bell because it’s cost effective, but going to Taco Bell in the last 18 months is almost a baseline 10-15 minute wait. Sometimes longer. So getting your food in 2 minutes or less is a major upgrade. Expedites the whole Taco Bell process of ordering, eating, and getting diarrhea.
So let’s all hope this thing is a success and we see more and more of them pop up.
*People need to stop calling these things hoverboards:
Unless there’s space between your board and the ground, you ain’t hovering.
PS: I give it less than 1 hour before whatever transport mechanism these Taco Bell’s are using is a disaster of spilled nacho cheese, mild sauce, and taco meat. They’re going to look like a taco bomb went off.
