Listen, are some going to say this lawsuit is cheesy? Sure. But I, for one, think it’s gouda to keep these major companies honest when it comes their ingredients. They bring in a lot of cheddar after all.

Long story slightly short: A woman from Elroy, Wisconsin, is suing food conglomerate, Kraft-Heinz, because she believes that the mozzarella cheese on their Bagel Bites is fraudulent. The lawsuit also alleges that claiming the cheese is real mozzarella cheese is, ‘falso, deceptive and misleading.’
Now normally I would scoff at a frivolous lawsuit such as this, but because I am a lifelong Wisconsinite, I take my cheese very seriously. At any given moment I probably have 5-7% cheese levels in my bloodstream. I haven’t had a Bagel Bite since I was probably 8 years old, but if a food mogul like Kraft-Heinz, a company that could easily pay for a slightly higher quality cheese for their products, is skimping on their motz, well then I am firmly on this woman’s side.
Hey, Kraft-Heinz, you thought you could sneak some low grade mozzarella on your Bagel Bites, sell them in Wisconsin, and get away with it?? You better LAWYER UP!

PS: I know I said I haven’t had Bagel Bites since I was 8 years old, but the more I think about it, I’m not sure I’ve ever had them. Pizza Bagel Bites likely never crossed my mind, because if you were going to buy a frozen pizza snack that contained 51% real food, you bought Totino’s Pizza Rolls. And they were right next to each other in the freezer aisle, so if you bought Pizza Bagel Bites, you were actively choosing them over one of the greatest frozen pizza snacks of all time.
Double PS: You know what I learned about myself while writing this blog? I have NO idea how to spell ‘mozzarella.’ I always thought it was, ‘motzarella.’ There’s no t? Since when?
