Mind if we get emotional on a Wednesday? #WonOurWay https://t.co/ILHWQa3Vfl

Bravo! Bravo! Encore! Encore!

I’m not sure there’s anyone doing better than the Brewer social media team these days. They’ve always been good, but it feels like, similar to Jackson Chourio in Game 2 of the NLDS against Mason Miller, they’re ‘meeting the moment’ of being the social team behind a championship team. Just excellent work all the way around. Told a complete story, the ups, the downs, and the triumph, all in 6 minutes. I was leaking man tears in the studio at 6:22am on a Thursday.
Now I know we don’t do a ton of writing anymore, but I felt like we needed to get that video posted. And I also just want to commit this to the written blog: The Milwaukee Brewers are World Series champions. THE MILWAUKEE BREWERS ARE THE WORLD SERIES CHAMPIONS! One week ago today we were celebrating and I still find it hard to wrap my mind around that it actually happened. I’ve watched every single video package, every highlight posted on Twitter, my entire life has been consumed by Brewer content. It’s the bottom, middle and top of my food pyramid (plus leftover Halloween candy).
Also: I am going broke buying Brewer championship merch. I’m fully in the algorithm. Every targeted ad on Facebook or Twitter right now is Brewer merch. I’m ordering hoodies, hats, stickers, small Commissioner’s Trophy replicas, framed Journal Sentinel front pages, hell I had a Brewer Championship Advent calendar pop up today. I’m not even sure what that means, but I ordered it! It’s a credit score bloodbath. And I wouldn’t have it any other way! Again: The Brewers won the WORLD SERIES!
Related: Going from October/World Series baseball to regular season NFL or NBA games has been a COMEDOWN. I’m not someone who has done (a lot of) drugs in my life, but I’m guessing this is what a withdrawal is like. I’d do anything to watch this team play baseball tonight. And I love the Packers and the Bucks, but they’re just not moving the needle at all at the moment. All I want is baseball. I’d take a Cactus League intrasquad scrimmage. Anything!
PS: All due to the one we posted above, but I think this is ultimately my favorite “recap” video that I’ve seen since last week Wednesday. Starting with the Braves leaving, the October heartbreak, and then coming all the way around to this year’s team. It’s damn near perfect:
