Officials with the United Way of Sheboygan County say that volunteers created an economic impact of more than $174,000 in a single day.
More than 1400 volunteers participated in the annual day of caring, contributing more than 4800 hours of community service through 68 different projects at 42 locations. Some of the projects volunteers participated in were landscaping, food preparation, facility improvement, cleaning and organizing.
The United Way of Sheboygan County also assisted partnering non-profit and public serving organizations by providing more than $12000 in grants to help complete projects.
