The Valders Fire Department Ambulance Service has been awarded a $95,000 Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
The grant funding will be used to install a new ventilation system at the Valders Fire Station, which will help reduce exposure to vehicle exhaust, smoke, and other airborne contaminants within the station.
According to a statement posted on the Valder’s Fire Department Facebook Page, the project represents an important investment in the health, safety, and well-being of the staff.
