(247NEWSSOURCE/LEARFIELD) – The Green Bay Packers were without their top ball carrier for Thursday’s practice.
Josh Jacobs was absent with a groin injury, but it does not appear to be a long term concern.
Green Bay continues training camp tonight and will visit the Pittsburgh Steelers in its preseason opener on Thursday.
Another running back, Chris Brooks, is sitting out practices with a hamstring injury.
MarShawn Lloyd is okay now, but he has a long history of missing time with injuries.
LaFleur on Lloyd: Packers coach Matt LaFleur talked about the plan for Lloyd moving forward, given his injury history.
Is that hard to do? LaFleur talked about that.

Packers GM Brian Gutekunst talked about how his family loves Family Night by telling a Ted Thompson story.
Gutekunst also said the Family Night is a practice but it’s more than that.
Gutekunst also talked about kicker Trey Smack who had some accuracy issues earlier in the week.
Gutekunst talked about why drafted kickers don’t have a great track record of sticking with the same team.
Gutekunst said the he’s still hoping to add a kicker in camp.
