(GREEN BAY PACKERS) – With training camps throughout the National Football League kicking off in the next week, the Green Bay Packers are preparing to bring the spirit of Lambeau Field and American football to Europe, with special “Packers Huddle” fan gatherings planned for three European cities this fall.
Though the Packers will not be playing games overseas this year, Packers fans in the U.K. and Germany can still experience the excitement and the camaraderie of football season with Packers Huddle events planned in Newcastle on 1 October at Shearer’s Sports Bar & Lounge from 7-9 p.m., London on 3 October at Box Piccadilly from 1-5 p.m. and Munich on 14 November at Nachtkantine (Speicherstraße 17) from 5-9 p.m.
Each Packers Huddle event will feature a program, prizes, live entertainment and the opportunity to meet and take photos with Packers legends.
More details, including how to register and additional event information, will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Packers hold international marketing rights in the United Kingdom, Germany and Ireland through the NFL’s Global Markets Program, allowing the organization to pursue specialized international marketing efforts including events and programming, targeted digital initiatives, specially curated content and other fan engagement opportunities.
Last year, the team hosted Huddle events in Dublin, London and Berlin to connect with fans and expose new audiences to Wisconsin’s unique charm, ownership structure and Midwestern character. In Germany, the Packers have also launched their German language Instagram account, with specialized, curated content tailored specifically to connect with German Packers fans. First launched in 2022, the Global Markets Program is part of the NFL’s long-term, strategic effort to enable clubs to build their brands globally while driving fan growth beyond the U.S. NFL clubs can apply for rights to international markets by submitting proposals to the International Committee for review each spring. Clubs are awarded rights for at least a five-year term through the program, and during this period can pursue activities in that international market that are consistent with what they can do in their home market.
