I give it a…..10! A 10! A f—— 10!

This is what I was talking about yesterday, there’s just something about the Mid Summer Classic that makes me nostalgic for summer vacations as a kid. I love watching/winning bets on the Derby, I love the All Star game, regardless of whether or not it has any build in regular season stakes.
Related: I’ve seen a LOT of miserable people on Twitter since last night taking the classic contrarian stance of, “eh, Sandlot is overrated, not really a good movie at all.” I know I’m being rage baited but like a walleye seeing a juicy nightcrawler, I’m taking the bait. If you sincerely think that The Sandlot is an overrated movie, or that it’s simply a bad movie, you’ve got worms in your brain. Your takes are bad, and you should feel bad! You borderline shouldn’t even be allowed to vote if you truly believe that. The Sandlot is a classic loaded with coming-of-age lessons, baseball Americana, and Wendy Peffercorn. The recipe for a perfect summer baseball movie. I don’t think I’ve ever not watched it if I’m scrolling through channels and it’s on. I probably watch it at least once a summer. Now my friends will tell you I’m not exactly a movie connoisseur, but I feel confident that I’m one the correct side on this one.
PS: I think we have a fantastic National Anthem, that said, the Ray Charles version of “America the Beautiful” should be the National Anthem. It is perfect. No notes. No notes? No notes!
