The pop-up nature of today’s storms can make for short warning, and so a watch was issued so as to raise awareness.
An Air Quality Alert for lakeshore counties from Sheboygan southward to the Illinois border was also issued from noon until 11 PM for elevated levels of ground-level ozone. As of 3 PM there was no significant pollution, but levels can change quickly, especially along the Lake Michigan shoreline.
