(PEDAL DOWN PROMOTIONS) May 27, 2026 – Austin Hartmann and the 87A Hartmann Racing Team put together two fast, smooth, and consistent nights to claim a pair of top-10 showings in Bumper to Bumper Interstate Racing Association 410 Sprint Car Series competition, rounding out a successful Memorial Weekend at two venerable Wisconsin facilities on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24.
The doubleheader weekend opened with the annual Founders Night event at Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wis. on Saturday, May 23. Hartmann flew out of the gate with the fastest qualifying lap in the 35-car field in 12.706 seconds to earn his second career IRA fast qualifier award.
The Plymouth, Wis. driver then placed fourth in the first IRA heat race to claim a berth in the second IRA dash where he came home fifth to nail down the 10th starting position in the 30-lap main event.
The seventh-year Sprint Car racer then steered his 87A Hartmann Racing machine to his first top-10 A-main showing of the 2026 campaign with a solid ninth-place finish.
One night later, Hartmann turned a lap of 11.827 seconds around the third-mile semi-banked egg-shaped 141 Speedway clay oval to qualifying seventh in the 30-car field.
After placing fourth in the first IRA heat race, Hartmann advanced to the second IRA dash where he placed fifth to secure the 10th starting spot in the 30-lap main event for the second time in two nights.
Hartmann drove another clean race while competing in the top 10 throughout the event en route to a season-best seventh-place finish.
“This year has been anything but normal car wise, tire wise, and set up wise,” Hartmann said. “We’re really going outside of the normal and finding some speed. We haven’t quite perfected it yet, but we’re getting there. I can’t thank everybody who helped this weekend enough – Ozzie Wesener, Fran O’Brien and Tyler Davis. I’m super blessed to have people in my corner believing in what I’m doing.”
The 87A Hartmann Racing Team is scheduled to take the upcoming weekend off to prepare for a big week of national touring season competition with the Interstate Batteries High Limit Racing Series and the NOS Energy Drink World of Outlaws Series.
The string of four big races in five days fires up with a pair of High Limit Racing events at Red Cedar Speedway in Menomonie, Wis. on Wednesday, June 3 (grandstands 4 p.m. hot laps 6:15 p.m., racing 7:30) and Gondik Law Speedway in Superior, Wis. on Thursday, June 4 (grandstands 4 p.m., hot laps 6:15 p.m., racing 7:30 p.m.).
The team then returns to its home track to take on the World of Outlaws at The Plymouth Dirt Track in Plymouth, Wis. on Saturday, June 6 (grandstands 4 p.m., 6:30 p.m. hot laps, qualifying and racing to follow) before closing the weekend with the World of Outlaws at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wis. on Sunday, June 7 (grandstands 4 p.m., 5:30 p.m. hot laps, qualifying and racing to follow).
For those unable to make it to the track, the High Limit Racing events will be streamed live on FloRacing.com, while the Red Cedar Speedway event on Wednesday, June 3 will air on live national broadcast television on the FS1 network.
