CUE THE WRONG BEER BRAND MUSIC!

Listen, I don’t think it’s a secret that I’m not a huge soccer guy. Calm down, Greg, it’s soccer, it’s soccer.

Most of my soccer knowledge comes from:
- The Big Green
- She’s the Man
- 1997 Sheboygan County SAYSO Soccer, Team Bray Architecture.
My wife and I are also watching Welcome to Wrexham on FX, but that’s less about soccer and more about two handsome guys resuscitating an old Welsh football club with good ol’ fashion American corporate greed.
Anyway, what I lack in knowledge about soccer I more than make up for in the world of flavorless, ice-cold American beer. And there’s nothing we like better in America than drinking our lite beers out of something kitchy and fun.
We like drinking out beers out of bats:

We like drinking them out of sabers:

We like drinking them out of hockey skates:

And now we like drinking them out of soccer balls!
Now I do have some logistical questions about the Miller Lite Matchball. It says you can fit 12 beers in it, but it looks like that means some of them are going to be upside down? That might be problematic. Also: Is there a cooling device in the core? Like does this keep your beers cold, or is it a race against time to drink all 12 before they get warm? Because that could be suboptimal as well.
But the look of it is:

So consider me ready to slug American beers and cheer on the good ol’ U-S of A whenever the World Cup actually starts! Rock, flag, and eagle!
PS: I’m monitoring the price of those Carolina Hurricanes hockey skate mugs on Ebay. Currently going for $200+ but I think the market will calm down in a few months.
