Let’s Talk About the Post C-Section “Apron Belly”
After my C-sections, no matter how much weight I lost, I still had an apron belly.
And honestly? It became a big insecurity of mine.
I could eat well. I could work out. I could do all the things. But that stubborn lower belly just wasn’t going anywhere — and I really didn’t think there was anything I could do about it.
During my Vitality journey at Eleve Vitality & Aesthetics, I brought it up to Katrina, my health coach. We had a real conversation about options, and that’s when we started talking about CoolSculpting.

So What Is CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is a non-surgical treatment that freezes and eliminates stubborn fat cells. No surgery. No needles. No pain medication. And little to no downtime.
Most people go right back to their normal routine afterward — which, let’s be honest, is important when you’re juggling life.
But here’s the key:
This is not a weight loss treatment. It’s for those stubborn pockets of fat that stick around despite healthy eating and exercise. It’s a body-contouring solution, not a magic weight-loss button.

What the Appointment Is Actually Like
You’re in a comfortable room with a TV (yes, you can relax and watch something). Katrina maps out the treatment area first — this helps her plan exactly where to place the applicators for the best results.
Each placement runs for about 35 minutes.
Once you’re settled on the bed, she cleans the area, places a gel pad on your skin, and attaches the applicator.

When it turns on, you feel suction right away — and then the cooling starts. It’s cold and a little tingly at first, but pretty quickly the area goes numb. After that? You mostly just relax.
When the applicator comes off, Katrina massages the area to help break up the frozen fat cells. I won’t lie — this part feels a little strange. Not painful, but definitely weird. Some people might find it uncomfortable, but it’s quick.

Afterward
Right after my treatment, my belly felt numb and a little tender — but not painful. Redness and swelling are common. Some people may experience bruising.
I definitely have some swelling, but so far no bruising. I’m curious to see how the next few days go.
The full treatment plan includes two sessions about a month apart, and final results can take up to three months to fully develop.
So yes — patience is required.
But for the first time, I feel like I’m doing something about an area that has bothered me for years.
And that feels empowering.
