Statistics released on Thursday by the Wisconsin Realtors Association paint a picture of positive year-over-year performance in home sales in Sheboygan County along with most of Wisconsin. This, despite rising interest rates and tight inventories, as the affordability index declined only slightly over the past year…coming in at 132 last month, compared to 133 a year earlier.
The median price of a home in Sheboygan County was $285,000 in March, up 1.8% over March of 2025. All surrounding counties showed more substantial increases, led by Manitowoc County’s 12.1 percent rise in home prices since last year. That also impacted sales in Manitowoc County which saw a decline of 11.3% over last March – the only surrounding county with a sales slump. Sales volume in Sheboygan was up 12.3% over last March, and Calumet County showed a surge of 42.9% in sales compared to last year.
Sheboygan County experienced a 2.8 months inventory of units during March, down slightly from the 2.9 months last year. It took an average of 69 days on the market for a home to sell in Sheboygan County last month, down almost 14 percent (13.8%) since last year.
