The Sheboygan Police Department wants pet owners to ensure their dog, cat and potbellied pig licenses are up-to-date.
Owners are reminded that you’ll need a current rabies certificate issued by a licensed veterinarian to obtain the license.
Owners of multiple pets might need a pet fancier’s license aside from the individual tags.
The usual license fees are $10 for dogs if they’ve been fixed and $15 if they’re not, and for cats it’s $5.25 for spayed and neutered and $12.25 for those not. But if you wait until April 1st then a $5 penalty for each license.
Application forms are available online and can be either mailed or turned in at City Hall. You’ll find those forms and full information at the Sheboygan Police Department’s website.
