Today’s expected mild weather might make snow days seem a distant possibility, but the Sheboygan Area School District is reminding families that it can still happen in the coming month or so. And when it does, plans are in place.
The administration said that when winter weather forces cancellations, Virtual Learning Days will be employed instead. Buildings will be closed and students will learn remotely from home. Early Learning Center and Elementary students should already have a take-home packet to use, while Middle and High School students will engage in live, virtual instruction at home according to their regular schedule with their teachers.
Phone, email and text messages will be used to notify families when closings occur, and those are also posted on the SASD website and social media pages.
