Anyone who’s experienced tinnitus, or ringing in the ears, can relate to the frustration of dealing with sounds that don’t really exist, and it affects more than 26 million people in the US, roughly 10-15% of adults. While there is no cure, that’s not stopping researchers at the American Tinnitus Association, and the Texas Roadhouse restaurant chain has a good reason to help them achieve progress. So in honor of the company’s late founder, Kent Taylor, the restaurants will donate 100% of all profits on February 2nd to the organization.
Roadhouse CEO Patrick Lynch said that “For many years, Texas Roadhouse and Roadie Nation have been steadfast partners of the American Tinnitus Association…” and added that “This partnership represents the very best of philanthropy, and I am personally thankful for their long-standing commitment to the tinnitus community.
The approach to Monday’s event is called “Dine-to-Donate”, and it launches Tinnitus Awareness Week. Accordingly, if you’d like to help fight for a treatment or a cure, all you have to do is eat at Texas Roadhouse on Highway 42 North in Sheboygan on Monday.
