Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is ready for a new home at the Feb. 5 NBA trade deadline or in the offseason as several rival teams make aggressive offers to the Milwaukee Bucks for him, and the franchise is starting to listen, league sources tell ESPN. pic.twitter.com/OejatbQjDy

Live look at me whenever it is that we are finally done with Shams tweeting about Giannis:
At this point I either need Giannis to sign an extension* or demand a trade just to get this BUM out of my life.
Related: People wonder why Bucks fans can’t take ESPN seriously as it relates to Giannis? Take a look at this collage of the past DECADE:
Jesus, Mary and Joseph it goes back to July of 2017! Every 6 months it’s another rumor about Giannis wanting to leave, Giannis wanting to go to New York, Giannis wants to head to Miami, and all Giannis has ever done is sign every extension offered to him in Milwaukee.
Now, am I completely naïve? Despite my high school guidance counselor saying as much, no, no I am not. This time around does feel a bit different. And the primary reason for that is that the Bucks stink. They’re a bad product with Giannis, and they’re REALLY stinky without him. When all of those other rumors were circulating, we could always ease our mind with the knowledge that the Bucks were a championship contender loaded with talent. This is the first time in a long time that that is not true.
So, at 31 years old, is it possible that Giannis may want to move on and compete for a second ring elsewhere? Sure. But do you know when I’ll believe that’s true? When it comes from Giannis’ lips. Certainly not when it’s from some assbag like Shams or Windy. I think Giannis has been pretty clear that those aren’t his guys. Everything they throw out there is for clicks, views, and to generate topics to fill segments on First Take, NBA Countdown, etc. Hell, if you actually read the article that Shams posted on ESPN yesterday, it contradicts itself about 10 times. Vague language, a ton of “if’s” “buts” and “maybes.” It’s a word salad. And not a small word side salad. No, no, no. It’s an Elaine, “BIG” salad. Big lettuce, big carrots, tomatoes like volleyballs.
So, I guess now we wait until next week Thursday and the trade deadline. If the Bucks were to trade Giannis, I very much doubt it would be next week. If you’re trading a generational superstar, you don’t want to call that play at the line of scrimmage. I would think they wait until the offseason, see what the draft order is, see where they land in the draft, what assets other teams have, etc.
*I still think this is the most under talked about element of this story. Giannis can sign a 4 year extension worth $275 million to stay in Milwaukee in October. The Bucks are the only team that can offer him that kind of deal that early. He’s 31 years old, and the injuries are, unfortunately, mounting. That contract would take him to age 36. And while he could probably sign another big deal at age 36, it’s not going to be THAT big. This is going to be his last chance to sign a deal of that magnitude in his career. I just don’t see him passing that up.
PS: The other thing I find hilarious with these Twitter rumors are the posts about what other teams AREN’T willing to give up for Giannis. “Miami won’t make Tyler Herro available in a Giannis deal.” “The Knicks won’t part with Mikal Bridges in a Giannis trade.” “The Rockets make Amen Thompson untouchable in a potential Giannis swap.” Ummmmmm, teams realize that Giannis is going to cost, like, A LOT, correct? We’re not just trading Giannis for a role player and two second round picks?
