A dangerous bout of winter cold will have Sheboygan County shivering along with much of the Midwest and Great Lakes for the time being, with below zero wind chills now through Tuesday and more snow on the way.

NWS Graphic
By 4 AM the Sheboygan temperature had dropped to 6 above with a wind chill of 13 below zero. That wind chill was forecast to drop to as low as 25 below by 8 AM and remain near 20 below for the remainder of today, as winds gust near 40 miles an hour while keeping blowing snow a concern, especially in open country. A Cold Weather Advisory is in effect until noon today along with a Winter Weather Advisory for the blowing snow. The next new snowfall of a few inches is expected Tuesday night into Wednesday.

NWS Graphic
Things don’t improve much before getting even worse; temperatures aren’t expected to reach even 20 degrees until Wednesday, and then a new blast of cold this weekend could send wind chill readings colder than 30 below by Saturday morning.
