Winter will be asserting its presence in Sheboygan County and all of Wisconsin for the next several days, with the introductory round continuing this Sunday.
A light snowfall overnight left roads and sidewalks dusted, and more snow is expected during the day. Like the rest of southeastern Wisconsin, 1-2 inches can be expected before ending this evening, resulting in snow-covered roads. Afterwards, northwest winds gusting to between 35 and 40 MPH will maintain the potential for blowing and drifting overnight.

By daybreak on Monday temperatures in Sheboygan will have fallen to near zero, with wind chills in the 20s below. Such conditions aren’t expected to improve much with temperatures lingering near zero Monday, single digits Tuesday, and wind chills remaining dangerously cold until Wednesday.
For now, a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 3 AM until 12 Noon on Monday, outlining the period when exposed skin can experience frostbite in as little as 30 minutes, and when people can enter hypothermia if not properly protected. Officials advise using caution while traveling outside, that people wear appropriate clothing including a hat and gloves, and to keep pets indoors as much as possible.
