Light snow that fell before midnight and built up less than an inch before ending wasn’t complicated by a feared glaze of freezing drizzle, but roads remain slippery throughout most of Wisconsin this morning, including Sheboygan County.

Periods of snow can be expected through mid morning, but only another one-half to inch-and-a-half of snow is anticipated, and with temperatures rising into the mid 30s, improving conditions are likely. However, another round of snow showers is predicted for this afternoon and evening, contributing another half inch or so with some heavier bursts threatening to reduce visibility during the evening commute.
On-and-off light snow is then expected Saturday into early Sunday, but with only minor accumulations the more significant factor will be the arrival of colder air. Saturday’s 20s will slide to Sunday’s teens, and by Monday morning bitter conditions are expected with temperatures in the single digits…and near warning-level wind chills around 20 below.
