Area motorists are likely to encounter mother nature head-on in a tussle for traction on area roadways for a few days, beginning tonight.
The National Weather Service hasn’t yet issued any advisories, but forecasters warn that light snow will overspread the Sheboygan area around sunset tonight and, after gathering an inch or so, will continue periodically through late Saturday night.
During lulls in snowfall late tonight and early Friday, it’s expected that a glaze of freezing drizzle will appear at times, and to further complicate travel another round of steadier snow will likely replace the freezing drizzle during the morning commute before easing later Friday morning.

In all, two inches of snow or less are expected, but combined with freezing drizzle it won’t take much to make for big travel trouble, and motorists should plan accordingly, especially tomorrow morning.
Afterwards, cold air moves in on Sunday with actual temperatures in the single digits and teens, and below-zero wind chills lasting at least through Tuesday.
