Inspired by a character on the hit Netflix series “Stranger Things”, a pickle pilsner from Sheboygan’s 3 Sheeps Brewing will flow for free while supplies last on Saturday.
The character is known as “Delightful” Derek Turnbow, who’s now-iconic tagline – quoting the character here – “Suck my fat one”, inspired the 3 Sheeps brewmasters to turn that line into a pun by introducing its new release, Dill-ightful Derek, a pickle pilsner that turns something sour into a delightful 5-percent ABV brew, much as the character Derek went from bully to ally.
Founder and brewmaster Grant Pauly enter Dill-ightful Derek into 3 Sheeps ongoing internet challenge, posting that “If you can get Jake Connelly – the actor behind Derek – or any member of the Stranger Things cast to comment on this post, we’ll pour ‘Dill-ightful Derek’ free for a day. The web – and subsequently Jake Connelly – responded, saying “This is awesome! Free beer for a day!!!”

And so this Saturday, 3 Sheeps will pour free pints of “Dill-ightful Derek” from 11 am until supplies at the taproom run dry.
And just in case you need to take some home to accompany your next Stranger Things viewing, you can purchase the brew in a special commemorative label while supplies last.
