A Winter Storm Warning has been issued for Sheboygan County by the National Weather Service to be in effect from 6 PM Sunday until 6 PM Monday. The warning was issued in the face of an expected 3-6 inch snowfall accompanied by winds gusting as high as 50 MPH, resulting in reduced visibility, near-blizzard conditions and considerable blowing and drifting snow. The Winter Storm Warning also includes Manitowoc, Calumet and Fond du Lac Counties, and is expected to impact both the morning and evening commutes on Monday. North of a line from the Wisconsin Dells to Sheboygan, there is a 35-50% potential to see snow accumulations approach 6 inches, while 2-5 inch totals are more likely to the south.

Along with the Winter Storm Warning, a Wind Advisory is also in effect from now until 6 PM Monday, as winds could not only displace unsecured objects, but also down trees and branches that could result in power outages.

NWS Graphic
Temperatures are a third factor of concern, dropping from Sunday afternoon readings in the 30s and 40s, into the 20s this evening into tonight. Accompanied by the brisk winds, this can result in flash-freezing of wet roads, and will enhance slippery conditions with accumulating snow.

NWS Graphic
The open waters of Lake Michigan are under a Storm Warning from now until 6 AM on Tuesday as northwest winds of 30-40 knots, gusting up to 50 knots, whip up waves of 17-22 feet, enough to capsize even large vessels.
In the wake of the storm, temperatures will plummet to around 10 above on Monday night with wind chill values between zero and 5 below. Mostly quiet and cold weather will dominate the remainder of 2025, with midnight temperatures on the 31st in the low 20s, and wind chills in the single digits above zero.
