Although an official release has yet to be made by Sheboygan Falls Police, some details of the “critical incident” that closed Monroe Street for an overnight investigation are becoming known.
Broadcast and social media reports indicate that Canadian native Giovanni Michael Robinson, who was visiting on a golf vacation, was fatally shot very early on Wednesday morning. A poster on the Sheboygan Falls Police Department webpage said that the victim was their brother in law, 32 years old, and became a new father in August. No information concerning a suspect or their whereabouts has been made known. Monroe Street was opened as of 7:30 AM.

What Sheboygan Falls Police are calling a “critical incident”, access to much of that city has been interrupted.
Monroe Street, known as “Lower Falls Road” to many, had to be closed between Broadway and Water Streets, meaning the only bridge over the Sheboygan River to the east of the downtown area, was unavailable.
Police didn’t elaborate, but asked people to avoid this area as officers continue to investigate. Police added that updates will be made as they become available.
