A man accused of trying to kill a Fond du Lac woman with an axe has entered an insanity plea.
34-year-old Hayden Daffinson is facing eight felony charges, including one of Attempted First Degree Intentional Homicide for the attack that occurred this past June.
Police reports indicate that Daffinson and the victim had recently broken up from a relationship. The attack apparently happened after Daffinson went to the victim’s home to retrieve his belongings.
The still-unidentified victim continues recovery from injuries that include multiple lacerations as well as two broken arms and several skull fractures.
