Autumn’s arrival today marks the changing of the season, and construction season won’t linger much longer as major highway projects near completion.
Remaining work on Highway 28 is limited to beamguard installation and final pavement markings, and flag crews will control traffic flow as the project should wrap up within a week or so.
One box culvert replacement remains on Highway 32 just south of County Highway “N” and new guardrails are being installed just north of Highway”V”. Asphalt grinding begins today and a new surface will be applied beginning tomorrow. Both operations begin at Highway “V” and will proceed south to Cedar Grove. Flag operations will control traffic there, while the north segment between “V” and Highway 28 at Sheboygan Falls remains closed to through traffic.
Elsewhere, Maintenance crews will be repairing pavement on east and westbound Highway 23 between County “P” and Highway 32 today through Thursday, September 25 from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. A moving lane closure will be used during repairs there.
