It now appears that the anticipated hot weather that was forecast as recently as last evening is not going to develop today in the Sheboygan area. Most of southern Wisconsin will also enjoy the break in the hot spell as a cold front and its accompanying thunderstorms put a damper on the summer sizzler.
With highs in the mid 80s the heat index is expected to max out at 92 degrees in the Sheboygan area today, and only the extreme southeast counties are now predicted to experience feel-like temperatures approaching 100 degrees.
Unlike the heat index, humidity will remain high and fuel passing thunderstorms that are most likely in the mid afternoon hours. By 6 PM, the chance of precipitation is down to 35%.
Looking ahead, Friday is predicted to be partly sunny and seasonable, while Saturday is forecast to be mostly cloudy with showers & thunderstorms accompanying the low 80-degree highs. Sunday should be sunny and very warm with highs returning to the upper 80s.
