Wheel of Fortune Will had a ROUGH night.

If Will’s co-workers don’t put a pile of sausages on his desk when he gets back to work, it is a BIG swing and a miss.

Now look, last night every contestant on the Wheel was a former service member in honor of Veterans Day. So if you think I’m going to take a shot at our guy Will, you’re outside of your mind.

BUT, regardless of the fact that Will served our country, I’m going to say what I always say when it comes to Wheel of Fortune boners: It’s REAL easy to call someone an idiot from the comfort of your Barcalounger, or in my case when I watched this clip this morning, from the porcelain throne scrolling through Twitter. When you’ve got nothing on the line, the puzzles come easy. But if you put someone under the bright lights, and Seacrest and Vanna White are staring you in the face, and a studio audience is waiting for you to solve the puzzle, I’m sure things pucker up REAL quick.

As the great Teddy Roosevelt once said: “It is not the viewer who counts, not the audience member who points out how the contestant stumbles, or where the solver of puzzles could have solved them better. The credit belongs to the man spinning the gigantic wheel. Whose face is marred in makeup, sweat and blood. Who strives valiantly, who errs, who comes up short again and again, who spends himself in a worthy gameshow, who at the best knows in the end the triumph of correctly solving a puzzle without buying a vowel, and who at the worst, if he fails, at least he fails so spectacularly that he becomes a viral video.”
