It’s a seller’s market in Sheboygan County according to a report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association. September home sales were up 10% over September last year, with 121 units moved. Supply-and-demand rules suggest higher inventory results in lower prices, but even as Sheboygan County inventory was up 10.3% over the year, the median home price of $290,000 also rose by 9.8% over last September, and the average home spent 63 days on the market, a drop of 11.3% since last year.
Within the southeast region, only Racine County had a greater price increase, while the 10 percent rise in units sold here was tops, bucking the regional trend which showed an average drop of 6.3% in sales compared to September, 2023.
