A candidate forums hosted by the Sheboygan County Chamber of Commerce today is now a one-candidate meet-and-greet instead.
A luncheon planned at Pine Hills Country Club was cancelled, and instead a meet-and-greet with Candidate for the US 6th Congressional District, Democrat John Zarbano, will take place at the Chamber Office between 11:30 and noon. Zarbano’s opponent, Glenn Grothman, was initially invited but declined, as did Senator Tammy Baldwin. Her opponent, Eric Hovde, accepted, but the larger plans eventually were reduced.
There will be another chance for the public to attend a forum in one week, as next Friday the Chamber will host candidate forums for Assembly Districts 25, 26, 27 and 59 in their conference room. One hour of questions and answers, moderated by Deidre Martinez, is scheduled for each contest beginning at 12:30 p.m., and concluding at 4:30. There’s no charge for that event; pre-registration is required and no walk-ups will be allowed.
