Krier Foods of Random Lake is riding a wave of approval as the 9th annual “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” nears conclusion. The contest highlights the state’s nearly $72 billion dollar manufacturing industry and the job and career opportunities it offers. The bracket-style tournament began with 130 nominees of Wisconsin manufacturers, and is now down to the final-four.
Jolly Good Soda, seeded #13, survived its latest battle with the #9 seed, Production Grinding & Machining of Monroe, entered for its Custom Built Metal Benches. In the final round of voting, Jolly Good will face the #16 Seed: Medalcraft Mint Inc., of Green Bay, entered for its Military Medals and Insignia. The other bracket pits #11 Seed: “Revo” by Vulture Systems of Menomonee Falls against the #10 Seed: the X739 Signature Series Lawn Tractor by John Deere of Horicon.
The “Coolest Thing Made in Wisconsin” will be announced at noon on Thursday, October 17th during Business Day in Madison, hosted by Wisconsin Manufacturers and Commerce which sponsors the annual event along with the Johnson Financial Group. Voting on the final round runs from 8 a.m. on Thursday, October 10th through 12 noon on the 17th, via madeinwis.com.
